A round rug with a radiating relief. Pale ivory lines are cut into a soft grey ground, dense around the rim and opening toward the middle, so the centre stays quiet and the border does the work.

Round changes a room more than a rectangle does. It follows a curved sofa instead of arguing with it, marks a seating area without squaring it off, and settles a space that has no straight wall to line up against.

Cut pile in New Zealand wool with silk and nylon, handmade. It is washable, reversible and stain resistant, with a non-slip and antimicrobial finish, and it is safe around pets — which is why it holds up in a room that gets used rather than admired.

Three diameters: 160, 200 and 250 cm. Delivered rolled, anywhere in Switzerland, in about two weeks. Give it a day or two to lie flat.
