Maison Laval designs furniture for rooms that are actually lived in. We started with a single question: why does a sofa that looks considered so rarely feel considered after the first year?
Our answer is a narrow collection, made slowly. Each piece is drawn in Switzerland, prototyped at full scale and sat in for weeks before it is signed off. If a shape only works in a photograph, it does not leave the studio.
What we make
Seating first: sofas, modular systems, lounge chairs and poufs. Then the pieces that hold a room around them: beds, wardrobes, dining tables and lighting. The palette stays deliberately quiet, so pieces bought years apart still belong together.
How we work
We work directly with a small number of workshops and keep the collection small enough to know every seam in it. There is no seasonal churn and no manufactured urgency. A piece stays in the collection for as long as it is the best answer we have.
