One long wave of cream bouclé, lifted at both ends and dropped in the middle, carried on two rounded blocks of walnut. Nothing about it is straight. The seat rolls up into a soft bolster at each end and sinks between them, so the bench holds you without a single cushion, arm or seam that announces itself.

The blocks are set inboard, well short of the ends, which leaves the two rolls floating clear of the floor. It is the detail that makes a heavy shape look light.

The bouclé is a dense loop pile, deep enough to read as texture from across a room. At the foot of the bed, along a hallway, or on its own under a window.

In cream, in three lengths: 100, 120 and 140 cm.
