Configuration

A half-circle, built from two curved modules that meet in one seam across the middle. The back rises only at the centre and rolls away to nothing at both ends, so each end finishes as an open, backless curve you can lie along.

There are no arms and no legs. The body meets the floor on a continuous curved plinth, and the back cushions are loose, so where the back is depends on where you put them.

Drawn to stand away from the wall, around a round table or a rug, rather than pushed into a corner. In a room with square walls it is the piece that softens everything else.

260 × 110 cm, 70 cm high. In cream.
