Three slabs, stacked. Two long rolled platforms lie one on the other and the mattress sits on top of them, each layer stepping in slightly from the one below, so the bed reads as a low pile of soft blocks rather than as a frame.

Behind it a headboard of the same depth, with two loose cushions leaned against it. Take the cushions away and it is a daybed. Put them back and it is a bed you can sit up in and read.

Everything is upholstered in the same cream bouclé, down to the floor. There is no hard edge anywhere on it.
